This week's issue of LEO is ridiculous at best, deceptive at worst. The
front cover has a picture of Anne Northup at last week's press
conference outside the LEO office. "Your tax dollars at work!" it
declares.
Can I ask what the $%&# that means? Last week
all of Congress was on vacation. Part of Northup's vacation was spent
at a press conference calling LEO Founder Yarmuth on his liberalism. Is
there some sort of crime here? Why not show a picture of Anne Northup
taking a nap on her couch and put a headline up that says, "Asleep at
the Wheel!"?
The cover story is, of course, ridiculous as well. I'm just baffled by the tax dollars cover headline.
Then
I thought that maybe they were referring to the fact that a Northup
campaign staffer needs a security guard to retrieve back-issues of LEO
and take them to be photocopied. LEO says it is to ensure the safety of
the issues, but I think the security guard is more necessitated by the
possibility that some left wing fringe lunatic (a.k.a. "liberal
Democrat") might attack the staffer while he tries to do his job.
Regardless, I thought maybe Cary Stemle of LEO was saying that the
guard is a waste of taxpayer money. However, I really don't understand
why he would say that because Northup for Congress is ultimately paying
for the security guard. Northup for Congress doesn't have any "tax
dollars" in its bank account. It's all campaign contributions.
Bottom
line: LEO's grasping to make something out of nothing. They're trying
to make Northup look bad for unmasking Yarmuth's liberalism. Liberals
have to hide their liberalism in order to get elected, and they do not
like being exposed. LEO and the rest of Louisville's liberals are just
mad.
It sucks that I have to talk about this on the day that
Josh Northup was found dead, but I'm not the one who puts out the
ridiculous paper. It must be responded to, though, and that's what I'm
here to do.
Keep them in your prayers. Frankly, the people at
LEO and John Yarmuth need our prayers also. They're wrong and they need
to be shown the way.
