Hot Air covers the idea of the bin Laden trail going cold and the unit devoted to finding him being, how do you say it, discontinued?

Sounds to me like manipulation of the press. If bin Laden relaxes a little after reading this morning's Treason Times, he may come out of his cave for some sunshine. I bet we have a crazy Jack Bauerish secret team crawling around Afghanistan ready to pounce on this guy. I'm talking about guys who can like eat dirt and bugs and stuff, and like drink urine and whatnot.

In any event I bet bin Laden goes down before Bush leaves office. They might know where he is right now, they might not. If they do, then they're using bin Laden for intelligence gathering opportunities. If they don't, they will before Bush leaves because if the country goes nuts and elects a Democrat all hell could break loose.

The flip side to that is that if we get bin Laden then the country may come to believe that the Republicans' strengths regarding terror and war are no longer unnecessary.
