This is what happened when I tried to join some
myspace group for people who care about Kentucky. It was started by
some *name deleted* person, but I can't find the group again because
her page is unintelligible. It is literally difficult to make out even
a single word on the page because of the photographic noise in the
background. The group said something about wanting to be a state
senator or working for one or something. Here's the exchange:

ok.
so your group is for people who care about kentucky and are democrats.
that's cool. that way you all can agree with each other all day and
you'll never be questioned or challenged and you'll never have to hone
your arguing skills. i guess republicans are the only ones who should
be questioned. sorry, didn't mean to "ruin" your blog group. how did
you feel about the chinese president being questioned today?

I dont mind being questioned hell who you voted as president is
horrible at speaking and a complete ass and I do care about ky it's you
silly ass republicans who need to start your own group. cause I want to
help the poor people not make the rich more rich and keep people down.
That's
just lovely, isn't it? You just have to love "open-minded" people who
"care." I don't belong in a group of people who "care" because who I "voted as president is horrible at speaking and a complete ass." Cool. I'm a silly ass who wants to keep people down.
This is what her most current blog says:
I
hate republicans nothing ever makes sense when there mouths open all I
hear is blah blah blah and guess what you republicans make less money
then democrats because karma is a b@#^% and guess what democrats
actually give money to causes to help people and republicans just get
richer as the poor get poorer no I will not take anymore of this it's
ridiculous have damn common sense I love my community and would do
anything to help someone
Nice again! I
guess Democrats are better than Republicans because they make more
money? And that's because "karma is a b$#@^." Okay. That makes a lot of
sense.
On a serious note, I truly feel for "poor people." (
I don't know if the girl's talking about homeless people, or the middle
class, lower middle class, or what - but it doesn't matter)
You have
to remember something, though. Aside from people who steal money (like
the gov't, for example) and people who inherit money, most "rich
people" are rich because they are smart with their money. They take
care of it. They don't waste it. They're good with it and they know how
to earn it. You can't hold that against them, can you? AND many of them
give a ton of money away to causes they believe in - be it, to church,
to a mission to help "poor people," to 527's they like (george soros),
etc. You can't fault them for that, can you? So what are people so
angry about regarding "rich people?" It sounds to me like they're mad
because THEY ARE NOT RICH. That is called jealousy. It is wrong and it
only hurts the person with the jealousy. You have to be happy with what
you have and take good care of it.
One other thing. A lot of
poor people are poor because they don't know how to handle money.
That's why most poor people who win the lottery or win some huge
financial settlement lawsuit or something like that where all of a
sudden they have a ton of money - most of them are broke again within
five years. Look it up. Please. They're broke because they don't do
smart things with their money. I know this doesn't apply to everyone
but it's a good point to think about. Plus, nowhere in the constitution
does it say that we have to help people. It is the right thing to do - to help people and teach them how to succeed, but not doing so is a legal choice.
Solution?
I don't know exactly - but I do know that public schools could really
help out an entire generation of people right now if they would maybe
divert some time away from sex training classes and socialism 101 and
teach people something about how to succeed IN THIS LIFE and IN THIS
COUNTRY.
You can't simultaneously wish for wealth, condemn
wealth, try to destroy the system that creates wealth, and expect to be
taken seriously.
