ACLU Warns Law Enforcement May Result in Racial Profiling.

I'm so sick of the ACLU I could puke. For those of you who don't know, in past years the Kentucky Derby was inevitably followed by people cruising up and down Broadway, a mile or so from Churchill Downs, showing off their cars, their bling, socializing and so on. Of course, on a day like that, the police often turn a blind eye to public alcohol consumption and probably even ignore their sense of smell when they sniff out Kentucky's number one cash crop - marijuana. I guess they're busy with the ridiculous amounts of traffic moving around, trying to help people avoid accidents, filing accident reports, and trying to help people keep their tempers from flaring. Well, last year the Derby cruising resulted in people assaulting each other and at least one murder. So, in an attempt to prevent people from killing each other this Saturday the city banned the cruising tradition. Police are supposedly strictly enforcing the ban.

Guess what? The ACLU is now warning that enforcement of the ban may result in racial profiling. I don't understand this. NOBODY is allowed to cruise on Broadway. If you're white, you will be ticketed. If you're black, you will be ticketed. If you fight the police, you will go to jail - no matter what color you are.

Every time there's a murder in the West End, the Reverand Louis Coleman and Christopher 2X run to the scene and get news cameras in their faces and say that the city needs to do more to prevent the murders from happening. This year, the city is doing something to try to prevent people from killing each other and the ACLU is passing out racial profiling information packets complete with forms that can be easily filled out and filed with the Louisville ACLU branch. It strikes me that the ACLU doesn't want crime to be reduced and they don't want anybody to be happy because then they would be out of a job.
